I did a 5 mile run (my first race of that distance). It was hillier than I anticipated and I hadn't trained recently for hills so that made it more difficult. I wanted to come in under 50 minutes which I did at 48:43 so I am happy with that!
I PR'd my 5K this morning! 28:13 was my chip time. Getting a sub-30 min 5K time was my between marathon training cycles goal! My last PR of 31:44 stood for a whole 13 days. It's amazing how much difference the temp makes-that race was in the low 90s (8pm start) and it was 73F this morning (7am).
I ran a small 10K trail run in 1:05. It was a two loop route through a nature preserve and miles 2-3 and 5-6 were basically uphill 3/4 of the mile, so I pretty much walked those miles, so considering that, I was happy with my time. It was hella humid and muggy during the race, so that also slowed me down, but it was a good time.
I ran the Peachtree and this was only the second time I have run 6 miles since January, so I was just happy to be running. I stayed back with my sister (she just started running) which was really good for me so I didn't push myself and hurt myself. I am super sore this morning though. I'm sure the vino after the race didn't help my hydration... Love the Peachtree, the energy and the AWESOME peaches afterwards. This year, there was also, Blue Bell icecream, it was awesome!

I PR'd my 5K with 28:09! It was the same race as runaways and she is right about lots of walkers being towards the front. I didn't listen to KITH's advice to start out really close to the front if I wanted to actually run the first half mile so I did lots of bobbing and weaving.
We did a 5 miler on July 4th. It was crazy muggy/humid and hot; even at 8 a.m. I had no goals because I was running with other people who haven't run in awhile (and it was my first real run post surgery). The highlight was that people in the neighborhood were out cheering us on and squirting us with their garden hoses. I LOVE those people. It was a lifesaver.
My time was a sad 1:23 or so, but we walked a lot. The highlight was that my husband cut his bike ride short and surprised me at the finish line.
