My first velodrome experience! I'm taking a three week adult cycling course to get racing certified at our local track and
OH MY LAWD SO MUCH FUN
Seriously. Awesome awesome awesome. As soon as you get done peeing your pants at looking down and realizing the cyclist next you has their head at the level of your feet. It's for sure an experience like none other and after just one class, I am 100% hooked.

T - I'll be back. It's a three session class so I've at least got two more sessions. And we have our first race next week with our first opportunity to do cat races on the 19th and 20th. I'm sure my rear will be kicked but the women's fields aren't very large, so I'll probably go to both days of racing just to help fill up the field.

You have to do your category races! You would have so much fun! If I were down there I'd come cheer you on and race with you. The track is so much fun. There are times I wish I still raced down there. I could; it's just a matter of making the time on a weeknight and getting home reeeealllly late one night/week.

It was super super super scary at first but then, once you realize you really aren't going to die, it's great fun. Although I have to admit, next week, we have to stop at the rail and grab it, then go again. That kind of makes me leak a little bit thinking about it.
