But really, the glory goes to my sister. It was her first 5k. We decided to do it spur of the moment last night. She was convinced that she'd have to walk, but we ran the whole thing. I shaved about a minute off my previous time, and probably could have done more, but kept the pace slow and steady for my sis. The race was small (about 70 runners/walkers), but apparently it was the biggest turnout they've ever had!
We chatted the whole way, which was fun. My last 5k race I could barely gasp out answers. Also, running at a lower elevation is niiiiiiiiice, I felt like I had so much air! Final observation, my hometown is small enough that we had to do two random loops in addition to running the perimeter of the town to get in the full 5k. Time - 35:44
