I keep getting whiffs of some garbagey smell and I can't locate it. It's in my office and I don't know where it's coming from!
My sister just found out her cat has lymphoma and has maybe 9-14 months. She's devastated, he's been her constant companion for 8 years and the snuggler when she's had no one else to snuggle with. I feel so bad for her, she doesn't know what to do.
I just cleaned my whole desk, the window sill, and the top of the radiator. I need more stuff to do. Guess it's time to update calendars with the upcoming presentations.
I've seen her around because she runs the same running routes as me and we're in a small town. She's friends with a guy who manages our old apartment complex. I'm excited to get to know her better!
Just found what could be the perfect temporary housing opportunity. In the area I want, price is wonderful...basically would have my own space but would share a kitchen. Basement with private entrance...and pet friendly. I could pay down some major bills. Cross fingers it is still available!
DL, I love new friendly neighbors. River likes to watch people through the blinds too so it is totally OK.
Gault, good luck! That sounds like a great option. Also, you could have puppy guy over anytime you wanted!
I have disgusting hairy legs right now. I keep thinking I shouldn't shave so I can go get them waxed but I don't want to spend the money to get them waxed but I hate shaving. Basically, I am lazy and part bear.
It is so humid here today and I think I might die. Humid for me is like 50% which is nothing for you all and I don't know how you function.

I'm dragging ass today, guys! I was up FAR too late last night, and didn't even get up to do my last day of week 1. I'm feeling very sluggish.
Also, I'm going to be pissed if I get home tonight and the very small mess I left in the kitchen from yesterday's get together with H's friends is still there. I cleaned and worked my butt off (seriously, my arms are sore from scrubbing) so his friends could come over and we could both enjoy ourselves, and H has the day off.
I'm also annoyed with my sister. H apparently sent her a message, or commented on a fb post of hers, indicating that we'd love to have my nephew come stay with us for the 4th. Guess who showed up last week? AAAAAAND... We have no idea when he's going home. She said she didn't ask me because she assumed that H had already discussed it with me. Now the poor kid has come all the way up from 2 states away and is sleeping on my couch, and I have yet another facet to this super fun living arrangement I have right now. I love the kid and at 14, he's really not a problem, but now is not a good time for unexpected (or expected) house guests!! GGGRRRRRR!

I'm not really mad at him for my nephew showing up, because my nephew has always spent time at our house during the summer even when we lived 5 minutes away. What I am furious about is that My own sister (who is very aware of my current situation) just sent him up here without a heads up to me!
I might hulk smash something if I get home tonight and he asks me what I'm making for dinner though.
My week ended with me visiting a client in the hospital, attending a meeting with this client's parents and the hospital social worker and psychiatrist. Not how I wanted to end my week, but the parents really appreciated it and my client was happy to see me, so it was worth it.
*For anyone who doesn't get it, this is a joke. If anyone does shank anyone, I did not provide any assistance.
I think it is weird on your sisters part. Nephews are cool, showing up for funsies, not so much. Tell your H that he can have whatever he makes for dinner, even of he just calls the pizza company. You did a shit ton of work yesterday and you deserve a night off.

If it were a normal year, it wouldn't be a big deal. But this year is a little bit different. I'm sure she figured that H had talked to me, and it has never been an issue in the past, so no biggie.
I do have to admit though, after the initial shock wore off its been kind of nice to have an extra set of hands to help out with stuff. And he went with me on my "run" this morning. It was kind of fun to have a partner to keep me motivated.
