I guess this is a perception issue, but I felt like he cut me off. The branch that is my usual bank drive-up is set up kind of weird. It has a thoroughfare as well as the lanes for the bank. So I drove through the thoroughfare and all four lanes were full, so instead of picking a lane and squishing up behind one of the people in the lane (and have my big truck stick out into the thoroughfare), I parked off to the side of the road, and patiently waited for one of the lanes to empty. I didn't see anyone pull up ahead of me so I had no clue who the next person to leave would be.
Finally, someone pulled out and just as I was cranking on my steering wheel to pull into the open lane, I saw in my side mirror that a car was pulling up. I already had my wheels turned sharply and I didn't want to run into the guy pulling up because I thought he was driving through the thoroughway. He wasn't. He pulled out right in front of me and into the open lane.
That pissed me off so I honked at him (and I was growling to myself too) as he was pulling in. He stopped and didn't pull all the way up, and at that point the another lane (right next to him) opened up. So I pulled up, and he rolled down his passenger window and asked "was honk for me?" I said, "Yeah it is. I was trying to pull into that lane and you cut me off!" He told me I should have been waiting in the lane then. **sigh**.
Yeah, I suppose I could have, but I would have been in the way of people driving through, PLUS he could clearly see me waiting. Anyway, like I said: it's a matter of perception. I feel like he cut me off and he felt I should have been waiting in a different line. lol
