Did you like it? Wish you hadn't done it? C/s or vaginal? I found a local birth photographer who is WAAAAY closer to our price range than any other ones (She's $345 and all other ones I can find are around $750ish) and I still really like her work, you get a disc of all images, she's also a L&D nurse, stays 2 hours after the birth, etc. I hadn't thought about it with a c/s until I saw a post on the bump c/s board and loved them. I really adore the few images we have from the other c/s. This is our last so I think it would be nice to do something different.
That's awesome! Do it! I didn't have a birth photographer but this sounds like a great deal. Cool that she is an L&D nurse too.
I think I am! She only needs a $100 deposit. She does 2 a month and the other Jan. spot is taken. I mean, I'm all for "you get what you pay for" for most photography, but if it's between her and nothing, then I'm not really losing out on anything!

Eh, pricing w/ birth photography seems difficult to me. I've looked into doing it myself and I know that it's a full day gig so at least $500 makes sense, but that seems like a lot for what is basically an extended portrait session with not a lot of running around. It's not like a wedding or anything. Anyway I think it's a fair price and it's not rock bottom - so if you like her photos that you've seen, I'm sure itll turn out great!
Dh's aunt is a photographer and she was in the delivery room. She took some really amazing photos! She got our first family photo. She also got an awesome pic of lo when he got pulled out and dr was holding him in the air and the clock is readable in the background. If it weren't too expensive, I would absolutely do it!
