DD woke up this morning with yellow goop in her right eye that had crusted over during the night. Two hours later, even after wiping it, it still looks weepy. It sounds like it might be a blocked tear duct according to the interwebz.
Did anyone else's LO have this? It seems to be common among newborns and usually resolves itself, but I am being a total rookie mom and wondering if it warrants a call to the dr or if I should just try home treatment (massage, warm cloths).

DS1 had it for 12 months. It resolved just before his surgery. The surgeon told us to apply pretty firm pressure on the corner of his eye at each diaper change. She said massage was generally not helpful, but pressure was.

My baby had it for a few weeks. Sr said it was normal and not to call unless green or oust. Hers did turn green and they called in an antibiotic a ointment. It cleared up quickly. Dr said they think about surgery if it doesn't clear by 9 minths
