Mother effer now my left hammie pulled. Son of a bitch! So obviously ART isn't cutting as my right is still sore too. So what type of doc to see for this? Pulled hamstrings or its possibly something else. And I know to rest. I'm just super upset and worried my running days are over! Help! :-( :-( :-(
I'd consider going to a MD that specializes in Sports Medicine. Sometimes they are orthos sometimes not. Do you live near a big city? I'm in Atlanta and can think of at least 2 major sports med clinics here. Can you ask the local running clubs for recommendations for sports med doctors?
Often, especially in women, an alignment issue in the pelvis can cause to a hamstring pull or prolong the symptoms. Unless you work on that issue, you keep "pulling" it. I'd see a sports med MD. Most likely they will recommend PT.
Are you only getting ART? The reason I ask is because I'm being treated for referred pain in my calf which I also experienced in my hamstring. I went to a chiro for ART as a last attempt to get my calf and the rest of my leg better, and learned I really need a combo of trigger point therapy/ART. He's also assigning stretches/exercises.

I agree with PPs, I would see a sports medicine doctor. Also, FWIW, I have had much better results going to clinics that are specifically for sports medicine rather than orthopedists who also do sports medicine, if that makes sense.
Thanks everyone. Now I have no idea who to choose after looking online. That's so many different ones who do different things and I'm tired of having to restart and just want the next one to be able to help me! I found a sports med doc by me within in the hospital and wellness center but also a sports physical therapist but he looks more strip mall type but offers a lot too I can't decide. I don't want to waste more time

Does anyone have good reviews? Does anyone state they are a runner or big athlete themselves? Does anyone stress a desire of looking at the whole body, finding the source and fixing it?
I wish it was easier and feel your pain. At least a good PT will always be beneficial. Who doesn't need more exercises/stretches to take care of their body, right?
Ive been to two different docs for running injuries, a sports meds doctor, and a physiatrist who also happens to be a runner, i had a good experience with both.

I don't know if this would make sense for you, but my best experience with sports med doctors has been when I went to the place where the Indy Colts go. You might be able to use the same doctors as your local pro or college teams there use, that might be a good start.
