Has anyone used one? What did it involve? My hips and knees rotate in, and I'm pretty pigeon toed. I never grew out of it like they told my mom I would. I think running with my funky form is causing me some issues (mainly pain) and I'm considering a coach, but I'm not sure if being able to fix something like my hips being rotated wrong is even possible.
If it is a true bony alignment issue, there is not much you can do to fix it. That's what it sounds like. However, due to bony alignment, you are set up to develop weaknesses and/ or tightness in muscles that can make the issue worse and cause pain. I would suggest a gait evaluation as well as have someone look at your hip mobility, flexibility, and strength. I would also look into getting evaluated for proper shoes if you haven't already. Unfortunately, working on whatever they find (strength, flexibility, etc) is most likely going to be a lifelong thing. I have similar things I need to keep up on or my hips and back get all funky
You can get a referral from a sports medicine doctor to a gait specialist if they think it's necessary. Start with the sports doctor and go from there. You never know, your insurance may cover all or some of it.
