b - coffee and pie. :S My husband found sour cherries at the farmers market so made a pie. E: 8 mile run, 30 min core work

If you can, go for a really light jog or maybe do jog/walk intervals to loosen things up. I never got out of phase 1, and that first workout was always the worst. You may not believe me, but I promise you that running is actually easier than walking right now. And moving a little will help with the DOMS.

I really considered it this morning. I might sneak it in later on, before dinner. I think it WILL help (and I'd like to do an 8k in November), but man, it was NOT appealing when I woke up!
The workout was deceptively short and easy, but then I remembered it's been a long time since I used 20 pound weights in my workout. And those prone jack knives just killed my abs...
