Ok so I've been struggling with hydration even though I'm constantly drinking water. I bought nuun active last week and drank half a bottle before my run (7.5 mi) and the rest afterwards. I felt better but not great and am going to bring a hand held bottle this week.
My question: for those that use nuun active when do you drink it? Is it ok to drink the night before a long run?
If I get the all day hydration I'll have to order online which I would like to avoid if possible.

I have the nuun tablets that you add to water for electrolytes... is that the same as nuun active? I drink it during my run. I sweat a TON, so I need to eat/drink something with electrolytes during my long runs, or I'll cramp up like crazy.
I drink Gatorade on any run more than 30-40 minutes right now. TMI, but if I drink it before my run I have to pee in ~ 30 seconds. Post run I usually drink chocolate milk.
I'm telling you people that Electrolyte Fuel Systems is the elixir of electrolyte replacement. The sodium content far exceeds Nuun and you can mix it to meet your needs.

I just looked this up, and it looks like they sell it at several places right down the road from my house. Any particular flavor you like best?

I've only had the lemon lime, but I really like it.

Interesting. I'll have to try this. I'll try anything - nuun, gatorade, powerade, etc. I'm also a big fan of margarita shot bloks for the extra salt.
