OK, so I'm no prize in a swimsuit, but OH MY GOD WHAT THE EVERLIVING FUCK?
I was stretching in the whirlpool after my lunchtime swim, and in walks this guy in white trunks. That's right: WHITE SWIM TRUNKS. Except I don't think they were swim trunks. I could clearly see Under Armour written on the waistband.
I think he was just wearing UNDERWEAR.
The back was see through. I SAW BUTTCRACK! Like, there's a cheek, there's a cheek, and there's the ravine between them. I averted my eyes, so I don't know if his junk was visible. But to make matters worse, he proceeded to do 2 to 3 solid minutes of very vigorous stretches while standing on the deck. With his asscrack there for all to see.
I even said, "Cannot unsee!" to the lifeguard, who was doing his best to keep it together.
Why do people do this? Same goes for the women who wear bathing suits that are WAY past their prime and are threadbear in the back. Time to invest in a new suit. Or in this guys case, an actual suit
The last race I did, some guy got in the water for the swim (in the wrong wave to boot) wearing Under Armor boxer briefs. To do a tri in. WTF?? Thankfully his were maroon, and not white.
You don't? Lol I always do in a whirlpool. I do it in the tub after a shower too. My muscles are tight, & the warm water gets them heated up. I don't do a ton, but legs out & front/reach for my toes when I'm sitting to stretch the hamstring? Yup, I do it often.

Hmmm...I don't really GO in the whirlpool that much--for a number of reasons:
1. People soup. All I can think about is humans and their human-ness that is kind of festering in the pool. That alone is enough to keep me out.
2. I've always found that hot tubs and whirlpools seem to make soreness worse lol. Like if you go in one after skiing..and then the next day--OMG. It's horrible! I thought the hot water made lactic acid pool or something insane
3. Sometimes I get migraines right after sitting in them, same thing with saunas and steam rooms. I think it's my body telling me that floating around in people soup is no good!
Case in point--there was a guy at Angry's gym who just came out in his "manties." Junk floating all over, flashing buttcrack hanging out in the same whirlpool as HER. Who knows what she has now. (huh)

LOL!! All really valid points. I've never used a whirlpool at a gym, I was thinking of the hot tub at my mom's house. The human funk/ick factor is limited there. If my step dad came out in mantiies, I'd be out!

LOL.
My hamstrings were tight from gardening this weekend, and I was able to get some really good stretches in there. I stretch a bit in the pool but nothing too hard because its 83 degrees in the water.
I figure the whirlpool isn't any worse than the regular pool. Sure, it's warmer, but it also has twice the chlorine as the pool.
And FTR, the guy in the manties did not get in the whirlpool while I was in it. I would have peaced out so fast!
I do get light headed if I stay in for terribly long, but I generally only stay 3-4 minutes.

I think this is a combo of whirlpooling usually the first day after skiing and dehydration from altitude, heat, and exercise. Also, it will increase any swelling in your body and cause pain.
Whirlpool sounds gross about now in this heat, more so with man crack showing!
