Yes, it's late, I blame my monobrain for that. But better late than never!
Which marathon are you running (+date)? MCM, 10/27
Where are you in your training? I'm starting Week 2
What did your training look like last week? 4 days of running, just 3 miles more than I'd be doing for the past couple of months. But it's going to ramp up from here.
What mental aha moments have you had so far in this training cycle? I need to get up ridiculously early in the morning to get in some of my mid-week runs before work.
Who seriously ordered up this craptacular weather? Ugh. Have you outsmarted mother nature in your training? It stopped raining a few minutes before I started my run this morning. I got lucky!
When was the last time you didn't think about running for any decent amount of time (like, more than half a day)? A couple of weeks ago, before I started thinking about running a fall marathon.

Which marathon are you running (+date)? Savannah November 9
Where are you in your training? week three
What did your training look like last week? Six miles on Sunday, three on Tuesday, six on Thursday, four on Saturday.
What mental aha moments have you had so far in this training cycle? I ran the Peachtree without music (was worried it would rain) and I realized I'm a Klassy runner. Even with all that going on in the biggest 10K in the world, I need my music.
Who seriously ordered up this craptacular weather? Ugh. Have you outsmarted mother nature in your training? Yes, the humidity really slows me down, my times have not been as good. I have been doing my shorter runs on the treadmill.
When was the last time you didn't think about running for any decent amount of time (like, more than half a day)? just a few minutes ago when I "snap crackle popped" up the steps. I am not too far from 40 and my knees are definitely coy about 26 miles, the most they have done is 13. Read more: pandce.proboards.com/thread/198496/marathon-mania-monday#ixzz2YV34VShY
Which marathon are you running (+date)? Freedom's Run, 10/12
Where are you in your training? Building up a base so I can do Pfitz 12/55, or hop into a HH plan in the next couple weeks
What did your training look like last week? Long run of 10 miles, a 5k race, a few 4-8 milers
What mental aha moments have you had so far in this training cycle? None yet!
Who seriously ordered up this craptacular weather? Ugh. Have you outsmarted mother nature in your training? I'm at the beach. Hot and sticky, but normal Florida.
When was the last time you didn't think about running for any decent amount of time? During my move.
Which marathon are you running (+date)? Chicago 10/13 and Houston 1/19 (?)
Where are you in your training? Beginning week 5/18.
What did your training look like last week? Pretty intense actually. I've been exhausted and putting off some runs, so I ended up with a 35 mile week including an 11 mile long run and a 6 miler + a 5k both on Thursday.
What mental aha moments have you had so far in this training cycle? I had a serious come to jesus talk with myself about halfway through my run yesterday about my paces. Despite the advice I dole out, I have such a hard time giving in to the heat and slowing down but running my winter long run paces in this weather is just not sustainable and I have to come to terms with that.
Who seriously ordered up this craptacular weather? Ugh. Have you outsmarted mother nature in your training? No. No I have not. I looked like I had just jumped in a pool when I finished my long run yesterday, I was so drenched. As in, sweat dripping down my legs to soak my socks too. I may have to consider a pit stop at home to change clothes halfway when I get to the really long runs.
When was the last time you didn't think about running for any decent amount of time (like, more than half a day)? Ha, good question. Honestly, since last week, most days. I'm rotating through the ICU right now so there is a lot going on to distract me until I head out in the afternoon/evening.

Which marathon are you running (+date)? Nike Women's SF, October 20
Where are you in your training? I'm in week 3 of my training plan
What did your training look like last week? Last week was 25 miles, I did 24. I also completed 11 miles on the treadmill so I could have a Sunday Funday (priorities people!!!)
What mental aha moments have you had so far in this training cycle? The fact that I did 11 miles on a treadmill proved to me I can do this, no matter what.
Who seriously ordered up this craptacular weather? Ugh. Have you outsmarted mother nature in your training? It is unseasonably hot and humid here. I haven't figured out how to run in this.
When was the last time you didn't think about running for any decent amount of time (like, more than half a day)? Um, never.
Which marathon are you running (+date)? Chicago 10/13/13 and RnR Savannah 11/9/13
Where are you in your training? Week 3 of 16
What did your training look like last week? M: Rest, T: 5 miles MP-ish , W: 6.5 miles w/ 3 x 1 mile, Th: 11.5 miles, F: Unplanned rest, Sat: 5 miles, S: 7 miles w/final two below MP.
What mental aha moments have you had so far in this training cycle? Nothing specific, but I've been very zen about this whole process so far. I thought I'd be all "OMG, first BQ attempt, obsess, obsess!!!" But I'm very, "Ehhhh, whatever it is, it is." This might change as it gets closer. I think I'm still very unsure of what I'll be capable of. We'll see how training goes.
Who seriously ordered up this craptacular weather? Ugh. Have you outsmarted mother nature in your training? Nope. It doesn't matter when I go out, 5 AM, 7 PM, it's miserable. I pushed too hard on my long run this week, and felt sick for a few days. This weather is kicking my ass.
When was the last time you didn't think about running for any decent amount of time (like, more than half a day)? Probably when we were in Europe in May.
Which marathon are you running (+date)? Marine Corps 10/27
Where are you in your training? I have no idea. I know I'm running about 17 miles a week this week.
What did your training look like last week? 16 m/p/w
What mental aha moments have you had so far in this training cycle? AHA- I told you that you shouldn't be doing this while my shins started aching this morning.
Who seriously ordered up this craptacular weather? Ugh. Have you outsmarted mother nature in your training? Yes, I would say outsmarted is a good word I escaped a rainy 4th of july run !
When was the last time you didn't think about running for any decent amount of time (like, more than half a day)? I can't tell you. I'm obsessed. Also obsessing over the current shin pain and thinking I am NEVER going to be able to run a marathon
