Day 2 of no running and I'm going crazy! I've been working on strength, plank exercises, and abs. I'm sweating bullets, but I'm very disappointed with my burn. I worked out for an hour and only burned half of what I do in a 30 minute run. I guess I'm having anxiety of what 3 weeks of this can do to my progress. Any suggestions?
When i go to yoga for a 90 minute session - I only burn 250 calories where as a 90 minute run = over 800. I feel your pain:( I did find a hot interval yoga class that burns more calories - you could try that:)
I could cycle or do the elliptical with my ITB/leg injury. I was not (and still can't) do weight bearing exercises which is horrid. I could at least do Zumba or kickboxing. :/
Found an unexpected source of a calorie burn...30 minutes of mowing grass with a broken self propelled function=177 calories! I'm only 1/4 done with our yard. I'm going to be a grass cutting fool!
