Home Depot fucked up the order for our door and now we have to push back the contractor by at least a week while we wait for the new door to come in. It was supposed to be installed tomorrow.
The scale hasn't budged in two weeks and I washed my jeans last night and now they are super snug and I feel like a fat pig.

They are calling for rain tomorrow. If we have to move the bonfire inside I will be pissed. Everyone else seems to bring a group of kids to hang out inside while we are normally outside.

I have to take my skates back and exchange them for a different pair. They have been causing blisters on my feet and I keep trying ways to avoid it (using cotton rounds & bandaids, putting in a padded insert, thicker socks) but it doesn't seem to be helping. The blisters are even bigger today than they were last week. Kind of weird how my 15 year old skates never had that issue and I've had these for 2 weeks and almost everytime I wake up the next day to a new blister from them. :N:

My entire morning has been spent taking care of other people's messes. I don't care if you do have a sinus infection, if you schedule things, you should have to call and reschedule. If I don't have your itenerary, I don't know what is on your schedule.

Have you ever tried Body Glide? I use it on my feet, inner thighs and wherever else may chafe or get blisters while I'm running. It really works well. It looks like a stick of deoderant and you can find it at any sporting goods store I think.
My vent is that I'm sick of this walking boot already, and I've only had it a week. I want to run and do boot camp and play tennis, but I'm stuck lifting weights. Normally I like strength training, but when it's the only thing you can do, it kind of loses it's luster.

Shorty, I have never tried Body Glide. Maybe I'll go back to the sports store with my skate, show them my blisters and see if they think it would help. My old skates had a small lining around the foot and then a plastic boot that you slid into, and I had no problems with rubbing. This one is like a tennis shoe type with some plastic brackets around it and I think the boot part is just too thin and my foot keeps rubbing against the outer casing when I push. Thanks for the rec, I might try it out as a last resort before going to another type of skate.
I try to be as frugal as I can. More often than not, I fail. Well, my mom had some CD's from Dave Ramsey that I listened to a couple of years ago. I really liked his prospective and wanted to apply his philosophy to our spending habits. H wasn't that responsive to it when I tried to bring it up, so I've been mentioning little things here and there to get him on board. So far, no dice.
FF to a couple of years (now)... H has had this epiphany! He found these CD's in my car and listened to them. So, now he's all on board. He's giving ME the same pep-talk I gave him forever.
I'm not complaining that we are actually going to do this. I'm actually pretty damn stoked about it. I'm frustrated that it took this long for him to realize I wasn't trying to benefit just myself, but I want us to build a debt-free life. AND because all of the keywords I've been saying for years are suddenly his ideas.
*shakes fist*
Don't you know, Stellar? It's never a good idea until it's his idea!

I love Dave Ramsey. I do not, however, love hearing my MIL nag about him all the time. We bought a house that cost less than 1/3 of our take home pay, we drive beater cars, we debt snowball our debts (not to the level Dave would like, but still), but I'm not doing the whole beans and rice thing yet. Leave us alone, we can afford all our stuff, we will tackle our debt in our own time.

I'd suggest some running socks in addition to the Body Glide too...something cotton-free. You can find them at running/sporting stores. And they're extra comfy...I can't wear regular cotton socks anymore.

This is MH with everything. For some reason information coming from me isn't good enough, he has to hear it from someone else. It's annoying.

I've been wearing a compression sleeve on my right calf for the past month and half because of my strained soleus. It's getting better and currently I only feel the need to wear it to CrossFit and at night for recovery. Today a girl at CF commented on it, not to me but to other girls, and how I was only wearing one. I only know this because I walked up in time to hear the other girls defending me and telling her I'm injured and that was why I was wearing it. (I guess she thought I looked dumb only wearing one... but I only need one!!)
This is the same girl that complained to my trainer that I wasn't doing a full air squat one day. Unbeknownst to her, he had modified me since I was having knee pain- it was the day after my 20 miler. Yes, she complained to him right in front of me...

That girl needs to get a life. Why does she care about what you're doing?

I really don't know! I've been going in the evenings for the past month and this was my first 5am workout in awhile (I've always trained with the 5am group). When she walked in I smiled and said good morning and she responded with 'where have you been?'.
Nice. Whatevs, she's just jealous of my big guns! ;-)

I can understand not wanting someone to nag you about it, and I honestly feel like I haven't nagged him. I know that one day we'll be on the same page (like now) I just was frustrated that he's taking the credit for it. lol

WTF is her deal!? That's just silly, she needs a life and a chill pill. Nosy tattle bitches are the worst, just brush it off and tell her to butt out.

So she's, what, 15 or 16? She sounds like a little whiner. Seriously, ratting you out to the "teacher"? That's incredibly dumb.
I got a text message with a fraud alert on Wednesday night (while I was on vacation). The transactions on my credit card were in the same town my purse was stolen....however, that particular card wasn't in my purse. It was at home in my drawer! How did they do that?!
