I figured I'd get the Friday thread going because it is a GORGEOUS day outside and once I tear DS away from his car tracks in a couple minutes, I probably won't be inside again today.
Weekend plans?
I bought DH a new grill fro Father's Day and gave it to him last night (no, I don't have any self control), so tonight we're grilling. Father's day we'll be having brunch with my father then dinner with the ILs. So we'll have to get in all of our relaxing on Saturday.

Today: errands & prepping for tomorrow
Tomorrow: multi-family yardsale! You should all stop by for a look! 56 Hamilton St, Hyde Park 02136 9-3... SILs collect Coach purses, there will also be lots of baby & kids stuff & household goods
Sunday: Whatever DH wants to do for Father's Day...he still has not decided
I am off until July (except for a conference in Dallas the week after next Mon-Wed) and am leaving soon for lunch with friends and to wonder around Newbury and shop. We might go to NY this weekend but are not sure yet since my husband is leaving on Monday for a week in Portugal.
Wishing my parents lived close and I could see my dad this weekend!

I managed to get so sunburned on my arm yesterday, (it was our staff picnic, so even though I'm on program, the team and I snuck out for the lunch and then had a "meeting" outside) so I am shaking my fist at the nice weather right now. It hurts like a bitch.
Annnnyway, tomorrow, I plan on doing nothing. We were going to go to Il Capriccio for dinner, but we've decided to skip it and go to Salts next weekend for a post-round 1 program/belated birfday dinner. You all have been talking about it since I joined this board, so I figured it was time to try it.
Sunday, we have to go to my ILs for father's day, which I am dreading. This will be the fourth time in four months that we have to go up there, so I'm kind of over it. Plus, I'm exhausted, we always end up sitting around watching golf, which is SOOOO BORING, GAH. And plus, I hate fathers day due to my own shitty family dynamic, so I mostly prefer to ignore the day. The perils of coupledom, I guess, heh.
Are you going to get the duck? Remember to call today and reserve it if you do. I really enjoyed it, and liked it better than the tasting menu. Good luck getting through Sunday.
Yes! The husband called today and got us a reservation and requested the duck. I've never actually eaten duck before (I know), so it'll be an adventure, heh.

Friday - We went strawberry picking. It was great fun. Lil loved it because she loves strawberries. She carried her own little basket all through the field and wouldn't let anyone else touch it (or her strawberries) but she kept stealing everyone else's. We had so much fun we stayed out too long and I got a burn on my arms. Luckily I coated her better in sunblock and she has her daddy's complexion so no burn for her.
Today - We had her last music class then went to Jo-anns to check out some fabric. Turns out they were having 50% off their fabric and the sale ended today so I wound up buying instead of just looking. The plan is to refurbish our kitchen chairs this summer.
Sunday - No plans yet. Will probably try to get in a little gardening and continue the annual "school is out" deep clean.

Hello strangers. : ) I'm not sure where the past few weeks have gone but I've been busy, busy, busy...
This past weekend my bell choir (back bay ringers) did a mini-tour of the Cape, which was a blast. We also had our garden on the South End Garden Tour, so SO did a nice job of hosting and last minute set up. (I'm glad that's over, and very glad that our dogwood tree didn't drop all of its' pedals just before the tour!)
Today was my last day with my students, two days of PD and then I'm free for the summer! : )
Otherwise, I'm enjoying a pottery class right now and hoping to start dancing again in two weeks. Next week my parents are visiting from Maryland, so that will keep me busy, (that reminds me, I must stop by Brix and pick up a few bottles of wine before they get up here!)
Hope everyone is doing well, and I hope I can get back in the loop now that things are calming down finally.
