I'm thankful for my husband, who is driving for most of our cross-country move. I'm also thankful for iPads, which are keeping our kids occupied for a bit on the road.
I'm thankful that MIL agreed to fly out to watch our kids so that dh and I can go away by ourselves.
mollyrunner - I don't know if you ever came back to your thread about moving to NW Indiana, I work really close to the campus. Feel free to pm me if you like.
I am thankful my running group's loop today included a bathroom and a place where I could knock off after 8 miles instead of running the full 11. My legs feel like bricks.
I am so thankful that getting my spin certification has turned out so awesome. The manager at the gym asked me if I was interested in picking up 5 more classes--unfortunately, I can't swing it with my work schedule. I'm glowing that she thought of me first when these spots opened up. ETA--yay! I was approved to pick up the Thursday night class only! Yay!
I'm thankful that I'm starting to run again and got a good deal on a gym! I'm thankful that my apt management company is getting me a new fridge. Mine died today, just as all of my healthy groceries were delivered.
I'm thankful for hot yoga - I thought I would hate it but find I look forward to it:)
I'm thankful for the decreased humidity and sunny skies today on my run - I was sore from a killer yoga session but ran 7 b/c I wanted to enjoy the weather
I'm thankful for my summer off of work - I love getting up early, watching the Today show, and getting my runs done in the morning.
I am thankful that I survived my track work-out last night in 90* heat, and for awesome running friends who endured it with me.
I am thankful for co-workers I genuinely enjoy.
I am thankful for a DH who, at the end of the day, truly just wants to see me happy. He's running a marathon for me, is supportive of me going back to school, and he's being really cute about wanting to bake me a cake for my birthday this weekend.
I am thankful for family & friends who support, challenge, & inspire me.
brit --I was thinking that the move was because of his job? This was your scheme? Will you still be here to run your August trail marathon?
Sorry I'm being nosy; just curious about this big news. (Don't share any more than you wish too.)
Yeah, this one is all me. I'm sure his job will take us somewhere unexpected at some point, but this time he is the trailing spouse. I'm kind of jealous of him getting to work from home for three years.
In theory I could run my trail marathon in August, but I stopped doing long runs a few weeks ago because I was having trouble being dedicated to a plan. I have kept my mileage pretty high, I could probably muddle through it, but I won't. My family is coming to visit that weekend because we will probably leave the country by the end of August.
Oh, and I definitely understand/agree about the marathon decision. I think you should put yourself under zero pressure to run or bike or whatever a set amount before the move. Do what feels good. Simple. {because I know you stay plenty active anyway.}
I am thankful for my adorable H, who is so freaking excited for this baby its not even funny. And for friends like katietornado, whose baby gift to us is going to be something really useful-awesome homemade veggie meals to heat and eat when we're home from the hospital. And for this ridiculously easy, uneventful pregnancy. For being 39 weeks pg, I really can't complain.
That being said...JUNIOR IT IS TIME TO COME OUT AND JOIN THE FUCKING PARTY. MOM AND DAD WANT TO MEET YOU. AND MOM WANTS TO DRINK WINE AGAIN.
Okay, I'll stop now. I know I've been whining about this a lot. I can't help it.
I'm thankful for my husband who has been a complete sweetheart as I've been a grump the last couple weeks. He had been so patient with me and I just know he will be a great dad.
I'm thankful for the beach, and kids that share my love of it.
I'm thankful for my awesome husband, who has been working hard at home while the kids and I are on vacation. He has painted the kids rooms and the basement, and has started fixing up the garage. I can't wait to get home and see it!

I am so thankful for DH. He has been such a trooper during my pity party the last few weeks. He let me whine all while encouraging me to not give up.
I am super thankful the running gods are making it easy for me to get back on track with my mileage so I won't be too off track with my half training. Now if only I lived in my parents' neighborhood instead of mine I'd be set. They have lots of back streets that lead to an amazing park with lots of running paths. My roads - everything my PT does not want me running on. Guess I'll be figuring out a happy medium.
