Hello, I'm new here and looking to talk fitness!
I just started this after the reading the book and I feel great. My doctor suggested it, and at first I was skeptical, but I've really enjoyed how I feel.
Anyway, did anyone see results for weight loss? Id like to lose about 20 lbs. and have started the Couch to 5K program...anyone have experience with either? Thanks ahead of time!
Hello, there. I am currently on Week 5, day 2 of C25K. I surprise myself everyday. DH borrowed ETL on my Kindle (Dx T2 diabetes and he wants to reverse it, so he is going to try the End of Diabetes plan which is based off of ETL.) So, we haven't done ETL yet, but we will be doing it soon.

Not ETL, but am a c25k graduate! Fwiw, I was always the last person to finish a mile, (thought I) hated running, and never had any endurance. I had tried c25k several times, but could never feel like I could do it. Thus, I chalked it up to "I'm not a runner" and "I don't like running". Come May 2013, and after reading through several posts here, I realized that I had always started out too fast and too aggressive. The best advice I received was to start slow. I mean SLOW. If you think you're running slow, drop it down a notch slower. And guess what? I was able to run a 5k after the 8 weeks. I didn't give up, and when I started feeling tired/unmotivated/unsure if I could continue running the day's set, I slowed my pace down and could finish it. Super proud of myself!
Welcome, and good luck! I am mostly a lurker on these boards (don't feel like I can give good advice), but it was a great feeling to finish c25k and be able to accomplish the 5k goal.
Welcome! I started c25k in June 2012, and ran my first and second halves this past May. The ladies on this board a huge part of the reason why I was able to keep at it.

I could have written this post!
She's exactly right - go slow, repeat weeks if you need to, and when you get to the first long run trust the training! Take it slow and you will surprise yourself!
I started C25K in January this year and finished the program. I've now restarted it in run/jog (instead of run/walk) mode so I can work on endurance and speed. Good luck and welcome!

I think I couldve written this word for word!! Go slow and get good shoes! I ended up with knee bursitis after 2weeks due to crappy shoes.
