Yesterday I gave a second yoga class a shot. My first class was boring but I'm toying with the idea of giving yoga a long term try in hopes of helping my wimpy back.
I actually really liked this class. It was a must faster paced class with more strength moves. No idea what actual style of yoga it was - it was a free community class.
Today my shoulders and arms are dying. Apparently they are wimpy! Holy hell. I think I'll try to finagle a gym membership just for yoga classes so I can get some upper body strength!
Give yourself a few days to recover, then get back into another class before the weekend. I went to my favorite studio (for the first time in 4 weeks) on Wednesday for an hour-long class. On Thursday, for our 20-min post-run yoga, my shoulders/arms were soooo painful. One chaturanga and I flumped on my face. Today, I took another hour class there and felt great.
