Last minute trip before baby?

Looking to go on a last minute trip before baby's arrival. We are looking to go sometime in the last 2 weeks of July, getting back before Aug. 1st. My usual trips involve a lot of drinking and activity, so I'm kind of stumped for ideas while I'm 8 months pg.

Any ideas? We are in NJ and are looking to spend about 1k. Can spend more if necessary.

What about a beach in New England or down in MD? There are some cute towns along the CT/RI coast. Anything further you'll have to fly and I don't think you can.

I was able to fly to Germany at 33-35 weeks pregnant -- US Air only requires a doctor's note if traveling a week before your due date, and while I brought a note just in case, no one even questioned me -- so I don't think that is necessarily an issue if you are only 30 weeks now.

Still, with your budget, I'd probably stick to the East Coast and consider a long weekend in Newport, RI, Bar Harbor, ME, Charleston, SC, or Savannah, GA. Or the Hamptons, Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket, OBX, Hilton Head, or Amelia Island if you'd rather do beaches.

I can probably still fly, but it would probably be uncomfortable...I flew a few weeks ago and I think I've had enough for now!
