So, I've been calorie counting for about 3 weeks now. I started in January and stopped in March, losing about 25 lbs. The weight was just coming off like crazy, and now since I've restarted, I've only lost 1.5 lbs. I know it's "normal" weight loss, but to me, it seems like I should be losing more since I have a TON to lose.
I'm even doing more this time around...1600 calories a day (calculated according to MyFitnessPal), making sure I'm getting my water in, having 5-6 servings of fruits/veggies every day, and I'm exercising 6 days/week for about 30 minutes (30 Day Shred or walk/jogging).
Any tips on how to kick this plateau's booty? It's really discouraging.
Plateaus happen even when you have a lot to lose. After I lost about 30, I sat at the same weight for 6 months - with still 60 lbs to go. I'll say that I get the best results when I keep my body guessing. I use calorie cycling (+200-400 cal/day on Friday and Saturday) and I am constantly altering my workouts.
