I often forget to drink water during the day. On the weekends, I can kind of see how I get distracted, but at work I have a full water bottle sitting on my desk like six inches from my hand and I often just forget to drink it. After DD goes to bed at night, I finally get to relax enough to realize how thirsty I am, so I end up chugging huge amounts of water, which would be fine if I wasn't waking up to use the bathroom like a billion times.

I get bored a lot, and I usually drink water when I'm bored (this took a bit of habit forming, but now I don't think about it too much).
Also, I can't go to lunch until I've finished at least one cup of water (I have a large cup-probably 24 oz-with a straw I use). And I can't go home until I drink another one.
I don't personally have this problem. If there is water sitting next to me, I'll drink it. Currently, I have one of those large plastic cups w/the screw top lid & straw (the name is lost to me right now) and I find I drink more from that than I did from a bottle. I probably average 75%-100% of my body weight. Try different cups/bottles and setting a reminder.
Can you put a reminder on your work calendar to drink every 30, 60 minutes?
Or run an interval workout before work. That's what I did this morning and I can't take it down fast enough.
I ran seven miles before work and drank almost 20 oz while I ran. I also drank a 20 oz cup of coffee before I ran. (That sounds ridiculous to type out. H brought four massive 20 oz coffee cups into our marriage. I thought they were too big at first, but they have grown on me over the years.) I have had exactly 4 oz of water since my run.
water jug with a straw has helped a ton...there's something about having to unscrew a lid (god forbid) that just made me lazy.
Me too. Big time. I bring a bike water bottle to work so I can just squirt it into my mouth. My co-workers probably think I'm an oddball...um, probably not because of my water bottle choice though.
I sort of just sip all day long without really thinking about it. I have a big, pink cup at work and I just keep filling up when I need to. When I get home from my workout, I drink about 2-3, 16oz glasses of seltzer because I want the fizz.

There's probably an app for this, huh?
Yes, and I have it and it's the ONLY way I drink my water. It's not even that I don't like water, I just am not thirsty. I can have a cup of coffee in the morning and that's it all day and I'm perfectly happy.
If I have my water bottle with me, I'll drink water. If not, forget about it. I love plain water but to encourage myself to drink more water I've sometimes been adding Nuun All Day Hydration tablets to my water bottle for something extra. They don't have sugar, just vitamins and natural flavor and they taste good. shop.nuun.com/nuun-all-day-hydration

I'm kind of weird in that I drink more out of straws. So, I bought a cute Tervis mug with a straw and I keep lemons and limes sliced up for some extra flavor.

I don't allow myself coffee until I drink a glass of water. So at breakfast I have to drink a glass before I start on my coffee and then ill do the same mid-day at work. Still not enough for the day, but it prevents me from just going for the coffee.
I also love ice cold water. I keep a bottle in the fridge next to my desk and refill it all day. I am drinking water from sun up until sun down. So no advice, sorry!

I keep a 32oz Sigg bottle at home and at work. I fill it in the morning at work and the first one is gone by lunch. I sit at my desk, so it's just become a habit to drink from it all morning. I fill it again with lunch, and usually again by about 2:00pm. I have no idea when this water habit started, I am just always wanting water now.
I would set reminders or use one of the water apps. I have seen a few, but don't know much about them.

At work the water fountain is right outside of the bathroom so as long as I drink a little something in the morning the reminder kind of takes care of itself lol.
I drink most of a 16-oz water bottle's worth with my breakfast when I get to work, and then refill it every time I get up to use the restroom. I also keep it dangerously close to my keyboard, so I'm generally pretty aware of it.
I have to have the right bottle. If it's not a Camelbak, I don't drink as much. Weird, I know. I also (during the school year) tell myself I HAVE to get two bottles down by lunch, no ifs and or buts about it.
I tried an app that someone posted about on here. I forget what it was called. It was a little plant and you checked in whenever you drank and it hydrated the plant and made it grow. I felt like the quantities were unrealistic though and my plants kept dying so I deleted the app.
I keep my bottle within eyesight on my desk, but still forget. I try to no matter what finish one bottle before lunch and one between end of lunch and work. Even if that means I'm chugging a bottle before I go eat lunch. Which reminds me, it's full now and I only have 2.5 hours left.
I have to have a straw, too. And in the summer, my water has to be ice cold. (But just cool water in the winter.)
I have a 21-ish ounce cup at work, and I'll usually have 3 of them on an average day. Sometimes 4. But I fill it full with ice, then add water.
Then when I get home I have my Camelback bottle (21oz, I think?), and I'll have 2-4 bottles in the evening. Plus I fill it up before bed, and usually drink at least half during the night. My allergies have been bad lately, so I wake up stuffed up with my mouth all dried out a lot, so I reach for my water.
