I am not - we are going to start TTC in late Feb. BUT, I am hoping to volunteer in 2014 and then sign up for the series (or at least the 70.3) in 2015.
I would really like to race it (the half & full). REALLY BADLY. But, I'm also really ready to have another baby. Those dang things (babies) get in the way of my "me" plans!

Nice Ali! I love it.
Kams - I should be there Aug 10th or 11th. Feel like helping unload a truck??? ;-) We definitely need to meet up and run/ride sometime!!! I know absolutely NO ONE out there.

Are you moving?
I am! From upstate NY to Boulder, CO in a couple weeks. I'll be out there for at least 4-5 years since I'm going back to school for a Ph.D. program.
You know me! I might be able to come help you unpack. Let me know!
YES PLEASE!!! PM me your phone number and I'll let you know as soon as I have a more specific idea of when we'll be getting there. It should be either late on the 9th, or early on the 10th. It's just me and the boyfriend driving out, so the more hands we can get, the faster it will go. (He's not staying, just helping. We were both planning on going back to school before we met back in January, so he's staying behind in NY. Boo.)

Ah man, I will just miss you! We are headed back to NM on the 8th. Maybe we can find time to ride or run when I'm home over the holidays.
Coloradans are warm and friendly folks - you will have no trouble meeting people

Oh wow!! I must have missed that! No wonder why you signed up for the series, I was like that girl must be made of money to travel to boulder 3 times from New York!! Congrats!!

Ha! No way! I'm excited about the series because it's literally steps outside my apartment door. The Ironman run course comes within one block of my apartment. Finally! All the tris I can handle and no traveling!

Aw, bummer! I thought you lived there. Or are you from there and moved away?
From Colorado Springs and then moved away. Even though I love NM, I'd move back to Colo Spgs/Denver/Boulder in a heartbeat.
How often do you get back?
Usually 4/5 times a year. My family is in CS & H's family is in Denver, so we are back and forth a lot. Some of our trips are long and I'm looking for an escape, so I will definitely be in touch if I'm up there and will have time to come out to Boulder for a workout

I hear you. My friends are all talking about HIMs, what year they want to tackle their first IM, and full marathons. Alas, they are all 10+ years older than me and done having babies.
We are planning to TTC (our first) in 2014, although I haven't decided if we're talking spring or fall (fall would give me one more tri season that I can dedicate to something like a HIM). Calvin was ready like yesterday, but has told me that if I want to do another major training cycle and race, he is ok with waiting until late 2014.

When are you headed out to CO?
One of the big reasons I picked IMTX is so we can start TTC #2 in the summer

Yes - it's a really tough balance. My H is the same way - he wouldn't have waited this long in between our two, but he's totally supportive of my training cycles. He has a really hectic travel schedule for several months of the year, so we sort of try to accommodate that as well so that I can deliver during one of his down periods. Lots to try to plan around.
I wasn't in to racing before having my first child, so I never really imagined I would be juggling in such a way, and have that feeling that all of your friends are passing you by (I don't rationally see it that way - that's my emotional reaction). Sometimes I have to remind myself that running and triathlon will not disappear anytime soon
