Is it just me or is anyone else a little bit skeeved about wearing someone elses shoes? (probably just me) I have this thing about feet so that's probably why it freaks me out so much but I can't even imagine sharing a pair of shoes with my daughters (who are my very best friends) much less a stranger. 8-D
I've heard a lot of people say this, but it doesn't bother me. I occasionally go to a Goodwill in an affluent area near me where I find good stuff. The last time I went, I got a pair of Stuart Weitzman sandals for $35. I just wiped them with a baby wipe before trying them on
I feel like mrspost does. I will totally share shoes with people I am close to, but I do get a little grossed out by thrift store shoes, where I don't know whose feet have been in them. It doesn't make total sense because I will buy clothes from second hand stores, just not shoes.
Meh. As long as they are in good condition and don't show a lot of wear (and don't stink, haha), then I don't mind much. I'll usually clean them at home and sanitize as much as I can anyways, so it doesn't bother me. I've bought shoes at vintage stores without a problem.

With clothes from second hand stores I feel I can throw them in the wash and get all the germs off them. The wash machine gets all the germs off so that is why I justify second hand clothes. lol I know wipes and alcohol would clean shoes really well too....but I have issues with others feet.
Whew glad others feel as I do. I was starting to wonder if I needed therapy or something. LOL I feel the same way about clothes from a second hand store because you can wash in hot water and kill all the stranger germs. LOL But shoes just freak me out.

Same, minus the Vintage part.
I get more skeeved out about sharing hair ties, hats, etc.
Unless they are brand new and never used I don't buy used shoes. The only time I bought a pair from Goodwill is because it was new with tag. It was the dolce vita wedges for Target which I wear a lot. I found them for $8 or $10 and love them! Besides the hygiene part, I don't think one should wear someone else's used shoes mostly because every one has a different gait. It can mess up your own gait.
