Or even if you are potty training your 15m old.
Edie will be 3 in September (34 months). We introduced the potty at 18m, but we never did any other type of potty training/learning until this past Saturday when we just put panties on her.
Since then, she's been in panties all non-sleeping hours. She's had just one pee accident and one poop accident, but is still pooping during sleep times in diapers.
Today she woke up with a DRY DIAPER and asked to go pee! This is huge because just last week, she was peeing through diapers at night!
I'm so glad I waited this long! But now Adeline is showing lots of interest in the potty. She points at her butt and say "pee" or "poop" and runs to the potty and I feel like I should do something about that because, yeah, when she says it, she has it. But I have no interest in trying to work potty into a non-vocal kid's routine!!!!

Congrats!! That is such a huge thing. Both my boys were over 3 before they were finally potty trained, but when they were done they were done including night time.
I wouldn't do anything with A except sit her on it every now and then when she wants. I think it would be so frustrating, but I'm just really not good with the potty training thing - I'm so hoping Audrey is easier than her brothers!
That's awesome!! Linus has decided it's cool to use the potty, but uses it irregularly- pretty much if he runs past it and remembers its there. I'm not in a hurry though right now. Fiona has also decided that the whole routine is super fun. When I start getting Linus' shorts and diaper off she runs over and pulls on her clothes and tries to sit on the potty when he's done. I've put her on there do she can have a turn an she just smiles and smiles but doesn't do anything.
That's great! We waited until the day H turned 3, and he was done in less than 48 hours. It was amazing. I gave myself all sorts of props for stellar parenting, but now Elliot has taught me that no, H was just an excellent, rule following toddler. I think I am in for a world of hurt this next go around.

Yay! I started trying to train DD1 when she was 2 yrs 3 months (she was showing a lot of interest and I was home for a week between christmas and new years from work). It kind of worked. She was still having accidents though and in pull ups. Then 3 months later she just decided she didn't want to wear diapers anymore and she has been good ever since! It worked out great because it was 1 month before DD2 was born so we only had to worry about 1 kid in diapers!
When they decide they are ready, it is great! I am hoping I have a similar experience with DD2.
