I just had an accident and my brand new Zoya charisma bottle was decapitated and spilled all over the cherry hard wood floor! I wiped off with dry paper towel immediately to soak up the liquid as much as could. But now the smear of polish is dried on the floor. What can I do to get it off?? I am scared to use the nail polish remover. The remover will also remove the finish of the hardwood, right?? UGH!
Nice color! Right, DON'T use nail polish remover. Try magic eraser first, it might just take care of it. Then use alcohol or hair spray for any that's left. It will remove the polish without damaging the finish.
My son shattered 2 bottles of nail polish on my hardwood floors...right before we put our house up for sale! I feel your pain! We used WD-40. Sprayed it, let sit for a while, buffed out with a dry towel. Worked really well and did not eat the finish. It also removed kid stains (food, crayon, etc) in our concrete/stone fire place hearth. Good luck!
Now with that money you've saved by not buying a rug, you can afford more nail polish! WIN WIN!
Oh definitely ordering the Zoya Charisma again! And I can't imagine how many polish I can own for the price of a rug! If I ever get there, shoot me. With a 2.5 yr old toddler, right now I barely have time to use one of the 20 polishes I own in a month! I was planning on using this polish today when the kid takes a nap. Um.. yeah.
