A HS friend vaguebooking, "Lots of love going out to one of my friends who needs it." I'm always a fan of people's puppy photos. Always. I have friends who just had a litter of Frenchies. So stinking cute.
For me, the most super duper irritating things in my feed are incessant pictures of people's gardens and their bean harvest this morning and oh-my-gosh-look-at-my-squash and look, I planted tomatoes!
Dudes, go can your beans, but the world doesn't need to know.
For a long while it was incessant updates about people's workouts - running in particular. And all the inspirational quotes that go along with it. I get that running is the new black right now, and I'm super duper glad you are getting some exercise, but your braggy posts about how you ran 4 miles today are neither impressive or interesting to me. And OMG if I read another inspirational quote about why you run and how you ignore the pain to a little further, I'm going to barf. (plus those inspirational quotes are always superimposed over images of super buff women with rock hard abs and ultra tight booties - and i think those images are almost as damaging to real-world women's self images as the Photoshopped underwear ads are, but that's another vent all together)
Man that feels bitchy to say, but there you go.
But on the upside, my feed is otherwise pretty much full of pictures of the children of people I've known at various stages of my life but don't otherwise keep in touch with. I really love seeing baby and kid pictures. I can't get enough of those- and I'm a sucker for all the funny things kids say posts and kids art posts.

I have a vaguebooker that pisses me off on the regular. Everything is veerrrrrry dramatic, but she'll go all mysterious if you call her on it or ask what the deal is. "Oh, you know. Just life stuff." ARGH. Either own it, or don't, but this whiny dramatic stuff just makes me want to pull HER hair out.
On the other hand, my cousin has some great things going on in her life right now, and I swear over the last 3 months it's like she's transformed into a grown up (although she's older than me). Every time I read one of her posts, I feel like throwing confetti and cheering.

Babies.
Babies in the pool. Babies on the beach. Babies eating. Babies sleeping. Babies. Babies. Babies.
Out of all those children, I really care to see 47 pictures of the splash park from about three.
I'll also second ktzmoh on the running posts and the OMFGCROSSFITPALEO clogging things up.
Edit: the BABYCROSSFITPALEO rage made me forget to add my favorite thing is that I have some killer smart friends who post interesting articles and posts that I really enjoy reading throughout the day. Brain food!

I'm seeing a lot of the posts about "No one cared when this sweet little angelic white girl was killed and they stuffed her body in a trash can!" Never mind that it made national news. I like kid pictures, but in moderation. One friend is at Disney right now, and I really don't need to see 25 pictures of her kids with Star Wars things.

Also, this is probably only irritating to me ... but I have a friend who keeps posting pictures of herself swimming (laps, not like bikini shots) and her form is awful. I just want to be like "on behalf of swimmers everywhere, don't do this or this or this or this ... " although I should probably be cheering her on for getting fit or something.

I think this is the exact one that I was talking about. Took her bicycle, right?
Yes, in NJ. It was a terrible story no doubt. But the idea that black crime victims get more press/sympathy/whatever than white crime victims is ridiculous.
I have a friend who posts never ending pictures of her kid's blood blister on his nose that won't go away. It's like a play by play every hour with what's happening to it. Followed with rants about how it's not going away but the derm is 2 weeks away yet. Thank God the kid goes to the derm today. It's gross and pointless. And a blood blister. Kid will probably live.
My sister has the greatest FB statuses ever. Just stupid stuff of life commentary and it's all hilarious, in good fun, don't take yourself too seriously updates. It makes me laugh.

How does one take swimming selfies? Or did she actually enlist a photographer for this?
I'm presuming one enlists someone to take photos with one's phone camera ... but I guess there could be a tripod involved and a self-timer?
This particular friend is relatively self-absorbed, so I'm just hoping that the photographer is like, her kid or her H and not some random person at the pool who was recruited to take her photo.

I just lol'd at the thought of someone coming up to me at the pool, "Do you mind? I need a few snapshots for my portfolio. TIA!"
Just saying, from a decade of teaching/guarding experience, this would not be the weirdest request all day.
Once someone came up to me and asked if I'd mind helping them apply sunscreen. To their feet.
I have a low tolerance for that ish, so I block most of the annoying people in my feed. Pickings are slim. This is the best I've got:
Thanks for all the birthday wishes! And shout out to my mom for going through over 16 hours of labor
Which is more unnecessary than annoying.
I have another friend who has her RunKeeper app post to her FB. I mean, I train like crazy (especially certain times of the year) too, but ain't nobody got time to read that. Then I figured out that you can block apps from your wall and not the person, so all is good now.
I have one friend who has become addicted to some new workout and posts about it daily. She also posts a thousand inspirational quotes. Then she has the nerve to post all these food posts, and 99% of them are basically homemade junk food. ^o)
I also had someone that I normally like post a sign in support of "traditional" marriage. I hate finding out that friends are actually bigots.

Anyone else seeing this ridiculous "amazing uses for cucumbers" list? Ugh. I also hate the recipe reposts and the inspirational quotes. I guess I get annoyed at anything that isn't your original thought or really interesting.
I like the "I f'ing love science" posts. Pretty funny & informative. They sometimes post about animals that seem so amazingly fictitious, but they are real!
