And fat also, but that's okay. We had our 15 month appointment today. They measured him at 32.25", but I don't think that's right. She rushed through measuring him and he wasn't laying straight. He's 31lb, 6 ounces. He had to stand on the big boy scale because the baby scale only goes up to 30 pounds. His head is a nicely-rounded 51.5cm. Off the charts!
The pediatrician doesn't care that he isn't talking. He said he might start being concerned if he doesn't have 3-5 words by his 18 month appointment. He doesn't care that Andrew's milk intake has dropped dramatically since we got rid of the bottles. (The kid will only take a few sips in a cup. LOVES water in his cup, but apparently milk is evil) He eats really well-rounded meals and gets his dairy intake elsewhere, so that's all good.
Andrew has developed a bit of a limp lately. It gets worse as the day progresses. I can't tell where it's coming from though. He doesn't favor one leg over another. It's almost like it's coming from his hip. Honestly, it just makes him look like he's learning to walk, even though he's been a very good walker for a while. The ped. thinks he might have just overextended himself. If it doesn't get better, or gets worse, over the next week or two, we'll need to go back in. I'm not too concerned at this point.
Other than that, it was painless. A couple of shots, some Garfield bandaids, and we were on our way.

If you didn't know Andrew, you'd never notice the limp. Like I said, he looks like he's just learning to walk and a little uneasy. BUT, he's been walking for five months now. I even cried a few weeks ago because he had gotten a haircut, had a new outfit on, and was walking like such a little boy! I missed the "drunken cowboy" style of walking that he was doing for so long. Now the drunken cowboy is almost back.
We're doing some stretches and exercises* to try and work out whatever is bothering him. Hopefully it'll help.
*Yeah, right. He ends up laughing so hard and trying to get away that I don't think they're terribly effective. But we're trying.

I'm glad the pedi looked at the whole picture regarding size and milk rather than get caught up on pounds and ounces. Keep us posted on his limp which hopefully goes away in the allotted time frame.
