Buying a lovie off ebay. The markup on those suckers is insane! We haven't lost our lovey (a mini blanket) but W has started to get really attached to a stuffed monkey on Carters. Just for funsies I looked it up and they are selling for $50 on ebay. Robbery!
This is why we have 3 Scouts and 1 backup Violet. Spread between two houses, but still. Not possible to sleep without one, according to DD.
My girls love their Violets.
But the Fisher Price dog they got from MIL? Those things are scary, they start talking in the middle of the night for NO REASON...except that they are probably evil!

LOL! DD's does that too. Doesn't bother her in the least. She gets super pissed if their batteries are low when she is trying to sleep. They start like a low hum and she yells about it until it's fixed.
This is also the child that flipped her shit when the dog was accidentally left in her room when she went to bed. He had snuck in nonchalantly, and went to sleep by the closet. Cue screams of "GET OUT HE'S WALKING GET OUT" to the point where I was completely terrified to open her door because I was sure there was something demonic in there. Nope, just the dog I've had for ten years.

No point to that story, I'm just chatty.
Hahaha! Poor pup!
DD's fisher price dog would talk and sing between 2 or 3am every morning. It was in the playroom, nowhere near anyone! We would randomly hear "shapes and colors everywhere, EVERYWHERE!!!" singing in the darkness.
No, you darn canine, I don't want you or your creepy shapes and colors everywhere. I just want to sleep!!!! We finally took the batteries out and all is well now in the polka household lol

Scout must be different from the FP dog. LOL. But yeah, he elicits a low hum that pisses my kid off. And also, poor pup is right. He was so flabbergasted when she was screaming like that. He slinked/slunked? out like he had done something wrong but really he was guilty of a collar clink. It was hilarious after I overcame my extreme terrified of goblins state.

Ha! It's hard to be the hero when stuff like that freaks us out more than it does the kids, huh?
Yes, Scout/Violet is different than the FP dog. The girls have both, and love their Violets. But the FP dog? It is nowhere to be found cause it scared the crap out of them! Haha I'm still convinced that mil made him that way before she gave it to them, just to screw with us lol
