So that champix is good stuff not only it's made me a non smoker without resorting to murder, but I get to remember the mental dreams I'm having.
The daftest yet (from last night) involves 5 identical talking cats running away from a stray dog in my garden while shouting "bad dog, bad dog" in a man's voice, the smell of bbq and freshly cut grass, bright blue parakeets flying over my head and a ginormous tiger roaring in a tree at the bottom of the garden. I could have sworn I really was out there, veeeery slowly walking towards the house without looking back so the tiger wouldn't eat me.
I actually had cramps from the tension when I woke up.
I've tried the meds to help quit smoking, but have had those really scary mental health side effects that they warn you about.
I just started this app called iQuit that's like a timer. You enter how much you smoke, how much you pay for a pack, and all this other information. Then it tells you how often you can smoke--first it stops you from chain smoking, then it slowly spaces out how often you're allowed to smoke. It lets you set a time frame, like: in 2 months, I want to be able to go 24 hrs without smoking. And while you're cutting back, it tallies how much money you've saved.
IDK if it will work, but it's worth a shot.
Get back to us if it works for you - that sounds like a great plan for tapering off. I have a few friends that will quit on their own for a period of time but keep going back. I think having something like that to remind you would be a great tool.
