I have had a couple of frustrating days lately where I'd kill for a big glass of wine. Ah, the cruelty! I hope your treadmill slog offers some stress relief!

I'm sorry - either I never knew or I forgot - why did you stop running?
I quit in november bc i was bored out of mind and burnt out. I started lifting and loved that - but when I found out i was pregnant any and all desire to drag my ass to the gym went away.

well damn, i didnt know you were pregnant! congratulations!
and congrats to you too, shelbyann. I am either out of the loop or just way too forgetful. Probably the latter. You will see - it's called Mom Brain and it's a real thing. REAL.

Do you post from your phone? They both have tickers, but you can't see that on mobile. Stingyshark actually had a post about it where we all appropriately freaked. ShelbyAnn tried to sneak it in all casual like into an unrelated post.
Stingyshark So are you not allowed to run per Dr.'s advice?
I missed it when I couldn't anymore, too.
shelbyann I missed wine more than beer which was weird. I like beer better, but I craved a glass of sauv blanc something fierce.
No, I can run. He said I could do whatever I want. But I haven't really run since November - I've done a few miles here and there, but nothing substantial that would have kept me in running shape.
I would just love to be able to go out and beat all my stress into the ground on a good long run... I'm just sulking.
I can go downstairs and "run" on the treadmill.. it's just not the same, and it substantially slower than what I was running when I quit - which duh, it would be.. but still.. again, i'm just sulking.
My hormones have taken over today. I'm a hot freakin' mess. Poor H - he probably wishes he would have stayed at work longer today.
I hear ya! I would love to go outside and run then come back and have a nice cold one! But it's stupid hot and I'm starting to have a lot of round ligament pain.

I never found a good stress management tool when I was pregnant. It was probably not good for me or the kids. It doesn't help I was working like 60+ hours a week for a while and under crazy stress at work. I broke down at one of my appointments when my NP asked me about my stress levels. She wrote me a note to give to my boss that said I could "Only" work 40 hours a week. From then on things got better.
No point to my story except that I hear ya...and I hope you find a way to relax and let go of things.
I miss running too! Running is my stress reliever. I told my new boss (who is also a runner) that it really sucks being gimpy bc when I'm stressed from work I don't have many other ways to blow off steam. She suggested drinking.
I miss running too!! I try but I get winded after 1 minute and resort to walking. You could walk on the treadmill with a steep incline. I do that and it gets my heart rate to a good level.

I made it through 2 miles tonight on the TM at a 13:26 pace... I get winded pretty easily, like walking up and down the steps multiple times in a row - but running doesn't seem to bother me right now.. I tried running around 9 weeks. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA i couldn't make it through 30 seconds w/o feeling like passing out.
