One of my coworkers was complaining that she just received a text message from her phone service saying that they had exceeded their data usage on the family plan. Her son ate up 5gb of their 6gb plan. I can't wrap my head around using 5gb of data on a phone, but maybe that's just me.
Our plan is 4gb shared between me and H. I've never gone over 1gb. Hell, I don't think I've ever gone over .5gb.
I have 1GB, and I usually don't go over 250 MB because I have WIFI at home, work, the mall, my doctors office, and most friends places, lol.
Last month I turned my WIFI off and forgot to turn it back on, and then ALMOST went over 1GB and that was after 30 days of GBCNing, facebook, watching youtube videos, e-mail, my fitness pal, and candy crush.

He's probably just streaming tv shows or something but she should totally tell him that they get a report of data usage and watch his face. If he freaks it's porn.
H and I share 1 GB and have yet to go over. Most months we probably only use about half of that. We are on WiFi at home and at work, and are careful not to stream music or videos when away from WiFi.
About half is from streaming iHeart, another third is proboards and then the rest is random stuff. I am grandfathered on the unlimited data for Verizon so I guess I can't get another phone through them, they'll switch me to the 2Gb plan.
We have a family plan with 2GB per line, and before we switched to wifi at home, I would easily reach that (and have to limit my usage) by the end of the month, mostly thanks to GBCN. Now, with wifi at home, I probably use less than 0.5GB.
