Since I have been resting for the last 2 weeks, it seems that I have decided that eating is the proper way to fill all of the time that I would normally spend working out. I have eaten roughly 5 gallons of ice cream in the last week.

Well, that's because it IS a proper way to fill all your time
Most prospective employers understand that issue and are sensitive to it. I bet you can get around needing them upfront.
I have thought about this. The other part is, I feel bad leaving, as ridiculous as that sounds. I really love what I do, it is just too much. I have a great group to work with. Why can't this be easy?!
I'm going through this exact same thing right now. I am currently interviewing while @ my first job out of grad school. It's also terrible timing for my boss for me to leave now. All prospective employers know that I need a serious offer (contingent on refs) before they contact the references. All have been v. understanding. And because I'll talk to my boss prior to prospects contacting him he'll have ample notice to prep for me leaving. But it's still hard and I still feel guilty. 'You don't owe them anything.' has become my new mantra along with 'they'll get over it. It will be fine w/o you'

Good luck! And you are totally right, I keep telling myself the same thing
Thats right, people. Pizza three times in two days.
I see nothing wrong with this. I love pizza. Dinner tonight was Mellow Mushroom. DH had already ordered spinach, artichoke, and cheese dip w/garlic bread before I got there. I ate 3 pieces of bread w/the dip. I also ate 90% of my cheese calzone.
I have finished off half of a Talenti Vanilla Gelato container since Sunday.....with whipped cream.
One of my biggest worries with labor is not being able to eat during. I seriously don't know how I can go that long. I feel guilty because I feel like my biggest worry should be the health of the baby and it makes me feel like a bad mom already.

Hopefully this won't be a big deal for you. You can eat at the beginning of labor, before you go to the hospital. When I was in active labor, I had ZERO desire to eat anything. I think it's fairly common to feel that way. I tried to eat a piece of toast with pb before going to the hospital, but after one bite, I was done. It made me feel ill. Even if they would've let me eaten something, I wouldn't have.
Does your hospital allow you to drink clear liquids? I took two camelbak bottles and filled one with water and one with gatorade. I sipped both and it helped a lot. Actually, my hospital also allowed us to eat clear foods, like jello or popsicles. But like I said, I had no desire. But you could take some with you.
1. I've never had anything at Starbucks. I'm not a coffee drinker, though. 2. I'm not sorry about having the summers off. It's one of the perks of my job! 3. I haven't mowed our lawn in two weeks because the mower is broken. Now we need to buy a new one. 4. I have been doing my short rides indoors. It's too dangerously hot. 5. I still haven't really started packing for IMLP. We leave on Wednesday and I really need to get my shit together. Good thing I don't have to go to work!

This. I honestly have no idea if I was allowed to eat or not because I didn't ask to. It was the furthest thing from my mind. In fact, I had to be reminded to eat lunch afterwards. I was fortunate that things went pretty quickly, I realized that I was having contractions at like 10PM, I was admitted to the hospital around 3AM, and DD was born around 6AM. I know a few people who had like 40 hour labors, so that might change the eating/wanting to eat dynamic?

Hopefully this won't be a big issue for you. Can you at least have juice to boost your blood sugar?
I was in labor for almost 24 hours before having an emergency c-section. So about about 36 hours without food. It ws all such a blur, I never noticed. Same as the OPs, once the contractions really starting going (then nausea from the anesthesia), I couldn't imagine wanting anything extra in my stomach anyway.

I was induced, so I was allowed to eat before active labor started. I got an epidural, but I labored hard for about 2.5 hours. Food was not something I wanted or even thought of. I know everyone is different though. Even after delivery and finally getting to hold my babies (they were in the NICU for 2 days), they had to strongly suggest that I eat something. it just didn't sound good! It was probably all the various hormones and meds.
I drank too much last night at the Dave Matthews concert and had to have H pull over so I could throw up on the way home.
LOL, I saw him in Hershey last Saturday and I saw several people who were sick being led out. One girl yacked in the bathroom near the end, I felt so bad for the lady that had to clean up the stall!
Another confession, going off all of the Starbucks posts, is that I boycott Starbucks. I just think they are way overpriced and that they're the "cool" place to go. I just don't see the appeal. IMO their coffee is not good enough to justify the price. Our local convenient store has better coffee, and I can get it for $1.00. Their frozen coffee drinks are also just as good, and much cheaper. I also boycott Apple products for the same reason. Overpriced and the whole concept that everyone just has to have one. Umm, no. My android phone and cheapy mp3 player work just as well for me.
I work in marketing, specifically the food business. I just ate half of a Thai chili pork sub, and a piece of a s'mores brownie & s'mores cookie. I'm so full & blah now (although it was delicious). I actually HAD to for my job, but I was much more in the mood for my greek yogurt & berries.
