We were originally supposed to do a week AI in Aruba last July-and then we found out we were having twins. We didn't go-but now we have a large credit to Jetblue (like $1400). We have NO idea where to go-or what to do with two babies on a vacation somewhere! But, we don't want to lose it!
Any suggestions-no matter where we fly to, we will have two flights. We were thinking we'd go sometime in the Fall-I only work three days, so we could do a Friday-Monday trip.
Where is your starting location? Could you also use the flights for someone else (parent, etc) to come along as an extra pair of hands? How old will the twins be?
The sooner you go the better, it's a lot easier to travel with non mobile babies vs toddlers. I would pick somewhere you can get a direct flight and just go. Have fun!!

We flew non stop from Dulles to Cancun and stayed in Playa Del Carmen. it was a lot of fun. Not sure Jet Blue flies there though. What about Bermuda? That is a short flight too.
Just an FYI - if you fly with two lapbabies, you and your husband will not be able to sit in the same row. They only include one extra oxygen mask per row, so you can sit across the aisle, or behind each other but not next to each other (at least this is true on the airlines that I've flown on). You might want to keep it in mind when booking your seats (so you can pick yourself instead of having the airline reassign you when you show up).
Thanks everybody-unfortunately, we will have a connecting flight no matter what. Jetblue flies most of their flights from JFK or Boston-so we will have to connect. We were thinking Bermuda because of the closeness.
We were also thinking Florida-just not sure where? We could do a vacation with flight and hotel included.
Thanks for the tip about lap-we were thinking we;d get 3 seats.

I'd just do FL - no sense in going further away for beach... and yes- go sooner than later. Traveling with kids who don't crawl/walk yet is a LOT easier than once they do.
And i see no reason for extra hands --- 2 babies, 2 adults = totally doable. (I have 1+twins, so i know)

Jet Blue is supposed to be setting up a direct flight from DCA to San Juan Puerto Rico soon - it just got approved this morning (http://blog.jetblue.com/)
It probably won't spend the whole credit, though.
We went to PR with a 2 year old, and had a great time.
Any low-key beach destination where you can rent a condo or house would be good--someplace in FL (maybe Captiva or Sanibel Island), Hilton Head, Kiawa Island, Martha's Vineyard, Cape Cod, etc. A family friendly resort in Mexico or Central America would probably be doable, too--the Club Med in Ixtapa and the Los Suenos Marriott in Costa Rica are both on our list of supposedly kid-friendly resorts to try in the future.
I would definitely go asap--we have found traveling with pre-mobile babies to be much easier than traveling with one year olds.
