This is one of my peeves with DH. He ALWAYS signals when he's in a turn lane- I figure if you're in the turn lane, that means you're turning... NO need to signal!!
I do to, but there's not a giant arrow painted on the floor to turn into my spot. I always use my turn signal if there's no obviously designated turn lane.
Yeah, I notice a lot of people don't.
But also, every time I turn I'm not checking to make sure it's a designated turn lane. If I'm turning, I automatically turn on my turn signal. It's just automatic.
Actually sometimes I'll have it on to turn into the turn lane and it will click off after I turn into the lane. I'm pretty sure I always turn it on again before I turn.
I should say that when I'm in a bad mood and I'm stuck at a light (the signals in this town were programmed by a 4 year old) ill turn off my directional so I don't have to listen to the ticking.

Yes, I always signal no matter where I'm turning.
One of my hugest driving pet peeves is when someone just slams on their brakes to turn with no signal. I know this is a different situation than what you asked about, but I saw an almost-accident happen tonight because of this, and it made me think of it.
Always. There are people out there who change their minds and try to get back over into the other lane, a signal at least lets me know wtf they are doing.
I always tend to signal in parking lots just because it is second nature to hit the turn signal anytime I have to turn.
Of course. It's the law and the courteous thing to do. Just because you can see the sign or arrow that you're in a turn lane and it's obvious to you, other approaching the intersection at a different angle may not know you are planning on turning.

Um....yes
This reminds me, the other day my h and I were driving home on a curvy road and this idiot in front of us kept turn signaling every time the road curved. We could not stop laughing at him.

Exactly. Plus it's the law. And maybe it's just the olds and the bad drivers here but I've seen lots of people just drive straight in the turn lane or even turn the wront way (think right turn from left turn lane - we have some really bad drivers here).

Your H is somewhere online right now bitching about what a terrible driver his wife is. One of you is right. lol.
OK- just to save myself.... I always signal when changing lanes, or turning a corner, and when I'm going INTO a turn lane. But I don't see the point of sitting there in the turn lane, waiting for the light to change- and the blinker going on & on. It's annoying... And my DH doesn't signal when he's going into the turn lane- he waits until he gets all the way up in the lane and is waiting behind the car in front- THEN turns on the blinker!
ETA: Doh! OK, I admit I've had a few margaritas tonight..... Now I realize that maybe y'all are talking about regular turn lanes, not necessarily the ones at a stoplight. Like just the regular lane when you turn off the main road into the neighborhood, or grocery store or something?
In that case YES! I always use my turn signal there........

Please I beg you to use that exact excuse when you get pulled over and then report back here and let us know how that turns out for you.
