Do you signal in the turn lane?

I aways signal when turning, even if I am in a turn lane. It is more out of habit than anything, but it's a good thing to make a habit of.

And my DH doesn't signal when he's going into the turn lane- he waits until he gets all the way up in the lane and is waiting behind the car in front- THEN turns on the blinker!


ETA:  Doh!  OK, I admit I've had a few margaritas tonight.....
Now I realize that maybe y'all are talking about regular turn lanes, not necessarily the ones at a stoplight.  Like just the regular lane when you turn off the main road into the neighborhood, or grocery store or something?

In that case YES!  I always use my turn signal there........

This reminds me, the other day my h and I were driving home on a curvy road and this idiot in front of us kept turn signaling every time the road curved. We could not stop laughing at him.

I've done this on accident, lol. There are some sharp curves on the way to H's work. Something in my brain equates turning the wheel that far with putting on the signal.

I use my turn signal when I am turning. But I don't use it when the lane I am in goes away from the others to become a freeway on ramp. There is a place in my town that it does that and I'd only be in that lane if I intended to get in the freeway. And I'm not turning.

Yes. I often end up yelling at cars. "What, that E-Class doesn't come with turn signals?!?!?"

Yep, I always do. One of the roads I take to get to work splits into a turn only lane without much warning. The turn signal lets people know you realize this and aren't going to dart back in front of them at the last minute.
