I don't have asthma, but when it is warm out when I run I come back with the bright red face you described. It takes it a while to fade too. But it doesn't happen to me while I run in the winter.
I also have asthma that is exercised induced. Was it particularly hot today when you ran? I haven't had that problem with my inhaler and agree that it helps sooo much.
Any chance you worked out harder because you could breath better?
Also, too much asthma meds will make your heart pound and make you flush. If you feel a bit of an adrenaline jolt, that could be what's happening, either in your dosage or as you get used to it.
