1. I took Wednesday and Thursday off this week and it was glorious. I took the boys to a splash park in KC on Wednesday with my uncle and it was so much fun. And yesterday, I had to run errands and was $1 under budget on all the stuff I had to do (get an oil change, buy cat food and put gas in my car). I did not want to go to work this morning and yet I did and I immediately regretted it. (My coworker did not do my regular job duties and so I'm catching up on them.)
2. Monday is my consult with the plastic surgeon for my (possible) breast reduction. I'm taking my MIL with me for moral support and I'm nervous I'll be told I won't be able to get it covered by my insurance.
3. My boss came back from California last week and bought me a bag full of Ghiradelli chocolates and I can't stop eating them. My favorites are the dark chocolate with caramel.
My employer thinks it's ok to work on construction projects in the office directly below mine. It's incessant drilling, hammering, sawing, idk what else. It vibrates the floors and desks. It's so loud sometimes, most of the time in fact, that it sounds like it's in the office with us. It's extremely stressful. I'm about to tell my supervisor I'm going home for the day.

I had to return my rug because there were no cleaning instructions and the colors ran when we googled based on what information we did have. The stupid thing was backordered until the end of August so I asked for a refund because I didn't want to wait that long again for the stupid thing. I'm not even going to look for a new one until my refund is in and I've been waiting over a week for my refund at this point. I'm not ordering from that place ever again.
gl emo with your dr visit. My friend had hers a year ago and it was 100% covered.
meanwhile I just don't understand why the boob fairy can't be more equitable in distribution because while you may have more than you can handle, I definitely got shorted. ::humpff and crossed arms over incredibly flat chest::
I just can't wait for today to be over so I can go work on house stuff. I want to check out the SW paint sale and get so much done. Usually though when I get all excited about everything I'm going to do in a weekend I realize that my list is like 4 weeks of work and I can't make a dent. We'll see.

I got up this morning at 5am for swim practice and it was glorious. I don't usually say that about getting up early. But it was. I'm in a good mental place for my swim relay tomorrow.
I have to uber-hydrate today and tomorrow morning and it sucks. I've been peeing like every 30 minutes. Ugh. (See ^ about swim race tomorrow).
Still pending any results from my stupid USPS problem.

I saw one at kirklands and thought of you I wonder if its online I remember now it was only a 5x7 that's not big enough is it?

I can't remember, where did you get it?
Shades of Light. I was disappointed that it backordered for 2 months before, so I didn't really want to wait another 2 months for it again. I had to send the other back for the order for the replacement to be placed and the packaging was delivered to the wrong address by the USPS and it's just been a clusterfuck since then.
I asked on Monday about my refund because I never heard back on Friday and they said I'd receive it "shortly" but when I called yesterday, they said it could take up to 30 days. Then, when I never got a response from the person I had been dealing with, I called again that afternoon and she said they aren't supposed to but she was going to release my refund since I had called "a number of times." Well you have $500 of my money and I have nothing to show for it since my order was cancelled, you bet I'm following up on it until I get my refund.

Yeah, I need 8x10. I don't even know where there is a Kirkland's up here.
Random: why does YHL get discussed so much here? It was featured in this month's HGTV mag and I didn't think it was spectacular or even that interesting. What am I missing?

Partial something to talk about. Partial joke. Partial educating the rest of the DIYselfers of the world how not to go about certain projects. There used to be a girl on the old nest OBSESSIVE about everything they did and thought it was so, so great. Some of us agreed, some of us hate them with the passion of a thousand suns, some of us just didn't care. It kind of spun off from there and never died. Back in the day, YHL wasn't like they are now. In the beginning they had a cute little, normal house, with obtainable projects and very little spray paint in sight.
It's like any board. They all have their topics. H&F is clean eating. MM is cleaning ladies, 1st tri is full of "Can I eat? Breathe? Walk? posts?"
