Wanted to share my finished planters built for our deck. I used redwood 2x4s, 4x4s and fence boards for all, and I love how they came out. I think I spent about $200 on everything, not too bad!
This is my succulent nursery where I'm going to grow all my wee baby succulents up into bigger plants for the big kid garden. I'm still deciding what's going to go into the bigger opening.
I also made a pair of larger planters for the lower deck. One's got a shrub already, the other is getting a clump of bamboo soon.
What plans did you use? Where did you get the wood?
The redwood was just from home depot. I'm not fancy like that.
Plans were from my noodle. I looked around on the interweb, but couldn't find just the right design, so I just got a general sense of the construction from a variety of plans and made it up. The hardest was the one with multiple levels and interlocking trim. I screwed up a couple of times- so trial and error I guess
