I am sorry if I missed this but do you have endo or PCOS. I know you mentioned irregular cycles. I just ask because I have PCOS and I don't ovulate so I basically never get a period but the lining still builds up but doesn't shed so it is always really thick if I am not on the pill.
Not that I know of. Those have never been brought up before. I also never started seeing a GYN until about 6 months or a year after I moved out(so around age 20ish). My doctor did mention that sometimes when you don't release an egg, it can cause bleeding like that and that I might have a hard time getting pregnant, but was all she said about in regards to that. I guess I should be asking about those also?
I would definitely bring it up with your doctor. It will help to have answers and also know what is normal. What you are describing doesn't sound abnormal if it was happening to me but completely scary to someone with a "normal" cycle. Call your doctor tomorrow and complain until you are seen for sure.

Call back Monday and talk with the Doctor directly. If you still feel uneasy get a second opinion.
Also, I buy the Ultra tampons because I bleed heavy every other month. I can only find them at Target but maybe this will help you with not having to change them do often.

I'm really agitated that your doctor threw out cancer casually. Now you are worrying about something that is most likely easily fixed or not nearly as scary as cancer. I'm so sorry you're dealing with this. I don't want to minimize your feelings, but a lot of things can cause the bleeding that you are describing that are not linked to cancer. (((hugs)) I would definitely put another call in.
I would contact your doctor on Monday as soon as possible and insist you see her, the one you trust. I'm sorry for the anxiety you must be feeling right now, it would be reasonable for them to do another U/S and perhaps a D&C to clean everything out for you. Did they tell you the size of your uterus? "Normal" is about an 8, my girlfriend was recently told she's an 11 and was having symptoms you described. She had 2 U/Ss, a D&C, and has more treatment on the horizon. She is older than you, but the symptoms are the same, I urge you to see your doctor and meet with her, don't wait and don't settle for someone who doesn't know or understand your medical history and the recent report(s).
I wanted to reassure you that, while not normal, these symptoms are definitely not a definite sign of endometrial cancer. I have issues like you describe pretty much any time I'm not on hormonal birth control, and the first period after I start hormonal birth control is AWFUL. Worse (physically) than the miscarriage I once had.
In my case, it's a matter of hormonal imbalance. I have PCOS, and thickening uterine lining is a really common symptom. You may have similar issues.
I've had two endometrial biopsies, and both came back benign. They're not comfortable. It feels like they're reaching up through your cervix to pluck a nose hair. If you're planning to have one, take three advil beforehand.
I had an endometrial biopsy done a few years back, it was a pretty simple procedure, can you request one, since they were the ones to mention cancer
They wanted to wait until after the second vaginal ultrasound. They were hoping that it was just my hormones were out of whack and that the bcp would help and make the lining not as thick. But since I started bleeding again, who knows. I'm going to call again on Monday and talk to my doctor. I'm just in a lot of pain right now and upset(which I'm sure isn't helping) and tired. Does the biopsy hurt at all?
I've never had an endometrial biopsy but my doctor did try to do an in-office uterine biopsy (apparently the changes in my body after three kids made it not possible b/c of some weird angle). She made three attempts. It hurt about as much as having an IUD put in and I was a bit crampy and sore for the rest of the day (although I think I would have been less so if she only had to take one try). If your doctor okays it, I would take some advil beforehand. And some people can have a vasovagal reaction (I got lightheaded and it took a few minutes for me to get my bearings but I did not pass out). Good luck.
You should be able to take Tylenol or acetaminophen. I'm on blood thinners and can take that. I can't take aspirin, excedrin, or Advil/Motrin/Ibuprofen (among other things...like pepto!).
For the rest, no advice, just good thoughts and zombie hugs.
I have not read any replies but I am a med mal attorney and I would call them back, tell them to read my entire chart and get me in for an appt ASAP. Otherwise if it turned out I did in fact have cancer and they delayed my diagnosis in any way I would sue the shit out of them and go after their medical licenses. And that is exactly what I would say.
good luck, and I really hope it is nothing. Drs are sometimes infuriating to deal with.
