I usually get my white tanks at Old Navy and Gap, but I am so tired of both of them. Old Navy's white tanks are/have always been too sheer for me, and they aren't even soft/comfortable after 1 wash.
I find the same thing with Gap's too. Comfy when you put them on in the store, but not as comfortable/somewhat scratchy after a few washes. Both tanks don't hold their shape well while being worn either (I get these deep horizontal crease marks across my stomach).
Where can I buy white tanks that are: 1. Good quality 2. Aren't sheer 3. Withholds shape while you wear it 4. Still comfortable after multiple washings
eta: Are there any LLL tanks that are more tank-like (and that doesn't scream sports tank)?

I bought the ideal stretch tank from madewell in optic white. I have worn this tank to death. It's showing wear after a year, but for $19 I would easily buy again.
I like the Mossimo ones from Target. Not the long and lean slightly ribbed ones, the super soft ones that are by their work clothes. I think they are $8. I have them in tons of colors. The white one isn't see through.

I don't know if this is the style you are wanting, but I always get these. They hold up great!! I still have some that I bought 8 years ago and they still look new.

Agree with this, I love these tank tops. And I got a couple in white since they're so great.

I love mine from H&M!! Not the number sized ones (10, 6, etc) but the letter ones (S, M, etc). I think the letter sizes are better. Size down. I now own like 5 white ones....

These! They're called "micro rib". I have more than half a dozen of these in different colours. Hang to dry and they last a long time.
