Like Fivedogs, my Lily is also on meds for general anxiety and panic disorder. We do use a TS in conjunction when lightening is really bad. It works really well for her and she welcomes the "shirt" when the weather starts to turn bad.
One key is to get the shirt on before the dog gets really worked up and freaking out.
The good thing about them is that they have a 45 day money back guarantee. I'd give it almost the full 45 days before considering a return. They can take the dog some getting use to. In the beginning, we'd put it on randomly for short periods.
Also during a storm, do not try to comfort your dog. Many make this mistake and it makes the anxiety much worse. Ignore or try to redirect to something high value. Good luck!

Our dog Molly is only anxious during loud noises or thunderstorms. We just recently got one and started using it. It helps a little. It doesn't completely resolve her fear, but she seems a little more comfortable and able to relax. There is a money back guarantee so we're going to try it a few more times and return if it doesn't work. She also looks darn cute in it.
