Friday we did nothing! We just played and relaxed.
Saturday we went to the grocery store and started clearing things for the playroom. After looking at the situation of our tiny house we decided to do it a bit different.
Sunday we did nothing but a quick target run and we took a really long family nap, all 4 of us!
Friday - picked up the kids and met L for dinner. I took the kids to get a birthday present while L went home to work out.
Saturday - I had to work from 8-4. L took the kids to the gym, got them new uniform shirts, picked up their friend for a sleepover, and took the kids to the pool. I met them at the pool and then we took them for Sweet Frog and a home for a viewing of Lego Batman. Of course a thunderstorm rolled in just as they were going to bed and their friend is PETRIFIED of storms, so I hung out with her for awhile until it passed. I watched the first episode of House of Cards.
Sunday - I worked again from 8-4. Thankfully, it was SOOOO slow and I spent the day in my office studying, cleaning, watching You Tube videos, researching vacation options, and reading. L took all 3 kids to see Turbo and then took them to the birthday party of a classmate. I stopped at Target en route home and then had a lazy night at home. We started watching Orange is the New Black.

Friday we packed up the car and headed out for camping at Mt. Rainier. That evening A's determination to cook our dinner over a fire that just wasn't progressing quickly enough to coals resulted in a cranky hungry E and impatient me (though I reined this in). Dinner was around 8:30 which is fine except when you are 7 and that's bedtime! But we made it through and A ended up having to do all the dishes and clean up while E and I got ready for bed.
Saturday A woke up early after not sleeping much (due to her opposite work schedule) and waited for E and I to get up. E didn't wake until 8:30 which was much needed after our late night. We had breakfast and packed lunch to head for the mountain. It was busy and crowded, but we got lucky with a parking spot. Took a short (but STEEP!) hike up a bit from the visitors center and found a patch of snow to slide down. 3 girls with wet butts and lots of laughing and fun later, we found a log to sit on and enjoy the view and our lunch. After finishing our hike we saw the visitors center and drove to a nearby waterfall and back to the campsite. An earlier start on dinner was good for all. A park ranger was giving a short talk about bears at 9pm, so E and I went to that while A got ready for bed. After the talk we all hit the hay.
Sunday we got up and made breakfast and packed up camp and headed for home. When we got home I helped E get showered and ready for her dad to pick her up for a family function with his family. After she left, A and I got things hauled in and cleaned up a bit and then we showered and enjoyed some quiet time together before she had to head back home for work last night. E came home just in time for bed and it was a quick end to our weekend.
