I hope your recovery is faster than mine, but I couldn't work out for a couple of days due to cramping and nausea. I do understand that my reaction was unusually bad, so I'm not trying to scare you, but just letting you know you might not want to pay big bucks for a race entry the next day just in case.
(My doctor didn't give me any specific restrictions - just told me that whenever I felt up for it would be fine.)
I had mine put in on a Friday and worked Saturday Sunday (serving so on my feet) and then was back at the gym Monday. I don't know that I would have felt up to working out the day after, but definitely by Sunday I would have been fine had I wanted to go to the gym (Sat/Sun are my rest days unless something fun is going on).
