The one I have is too short and shows skin around my middle which I don't like and the other is baggy and if I don't wear a wetsuit in the swim I think it will create too much drag. So if you wear a 2 piece tri suit that is form fitting but has decent coverage can you recommend it to me, and also where you bought it?
I have no real experience with tris or tri apparel but I noticed that there were tri tops at Kohl's last night. I have no idea about the quality of measurements but thought I'd make the public service announcement.
'Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body. But rather, to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, screaming 'Woohoo! What a ride!' So every day is a holiday and every meal a feast."
I ADORE Soas kits. I also have a tyr top that is long. I think they just call it the competition top - it's got the accent color starting at the ribs and angling down to the bottoms.
I have a DeSoto tri top that is long enough. I don't wear it much since I'm usually wearing my club kit (from Champion Systems, which is also longer), but I do like it!
It's long (as tri tops go) and snug. I have a S; I am usually a S or M. I am comfortable swimming in it w/o a wetsuit over it (and I am picky about drag), but I wish it was a little shorter. I have a short torso and when I wear long tops they bunch at my middle.
It is about as long as the TYR, nicer fabric (IMO). I have not swum in it, so I can't say how it does in the water. I returned it because I was looking for something shorter than my TYR and this was not it.
It is shorter, which I like. But it BALLOONS in the water on me. I would not rec it for swimming w/o a wetsuit over it. I wore it for my HIM, because it was my most comfortable top for other reasons for the bike & run, but it annoyed me on the swim. I have it in a M, not sure if S would've been better. (It feels like it fits, it's just not quite snug enough at the top.)
Yes - the first one Susie linked is the TYR one I was talking about.
And I have an Athleta one that is super cute, but way too baggy in the stomach for the swim (coconutbug has it & feels the same way, too). It's so cute, I usually wear it for paddling or swim lessons w/DD w/ a bikini bottom.
