NHG: Why I shouldn't go shopping alone

I bought this dress in store at JCP and just thought it had a lace back. Innocent enough right?
I looked it up to ask my friend what bra I should wear with it. Look at the back!


I think it is sort of ridiculous and sort of awesome. DH and I lived into Tucson and like Day of the Dead stuff...
I think I'm going to keep it.

Oh, I love that you thought the back was just lace. I think you could totally pull it off. Go for it!

DD2 is sleeping in our room, otherwise I'd totally go try it back on right now to see how obvious it is. I might try it on later for the babysitter and see if she thinks it's too crazy.

You could wear a black/black lace camisole under it and have it be stealth skull. ETA: I just meant if you want to be stealth.  Otherwise, it is great as is.  It just seems like the stealth idea would make it wearable to places where it may not be appropriate otherwise.


Btw, I grew up in Tucson, and there wasn't much Day of the Dead stuff around at all. Only in a few gallery/artisan type places, but really very little until around the same time I started seeing more where we lived in CA...maybe in the 90s.

My 9-year-old and my 5-year-old think that dress is awesome. Totally a keeper!
I would wear a nude cami. If you wore black, the skull would just disappear.
