My brother is having his graduation party next week. I am trying to count my calories so I would like to make something to take that I know will be low cal but super tasty. I am open to most things, but would like it to be a side. It is going to be a picnic at my parents house. I told mom I would make something but not sure what yet. Any tried and true picnic recipes that are low cal?

I think cole slaw may be a good option-- it seems weird because it is creamy, but most recipes actually don't call for that much mayo. The cabbage releases a lot of liquid to make a small amount of mayo go further. You could use light mayo. Some recipes also have sour cream so a light version of that would be easy, too. Other than that it is just veggies and vinegar.

I make this cabbage salad that is always a crowd pleaser. I use 3 bags of purple shredded cabbage, maybe half the bottle of krafts seven seas red vine vinagerette dressing, 3-4 cloves of garlic minced amd salt and pepper to taste. It's so good and good for you
I love the taco dip from WW. It's always been a huge hit at parties for me. It's: 1 can refried beans, 8oz low fat sour cream mixed w/2 tbs taco seasoning, 8oz guac, shredded lettuce, cheese, diced tomatoes, scallions, and black olives. I serve it with the whole grain tortilla chips. Super easy to make, and 2 points.
