I don't wear concealer on a regular basis, and only use it if I have a blemish that needs to be covered up. However, I'm wondering if I should be using it under the eyes? I don't feel like I have dark circles under my eyes (or maybe I do and just don't notice it), but the skin is sort of . . . baggy I guess? It's more of a texture thing than a color issue, I think. Here are a couple of pics where you can notice this.
Would a good concealer help smooth out this area? In these pics, I just have BB cream over my entire face and no concealer.
If a concealer would help, what should I try? I have just some drug store brand that is very thin, and I don't think it would make any difference with this problem.
ETA: I'm also wondering if I should use a concealer on my nasolabial folds to lighten up that shadow created when I smile to make them less prominent? My best friend says to get a filler, but I haven't even used Botox yet, so I'm definitely not interested in fillers - yet
I don't think a concealer would help much with under eye bags. Have you tried the de-puffer eye products out there? I believe Garnier makes a roller ball one that you roll under your eye area. I haven't used it, so I have no idea how well they work.
For any area that has shadows, a good highlighter pen would help. I have a highlighter pen that I use around my nose/mouth area to make those lines look softer. I also put it under my eyes just to brighten up the area even though I don't really have issues under my eyes, it does make me look more awake. I use it over my foundation.
I do think a concealor will help, but you don't just want to highlight the whole area because you are highlighting the bag. You want to conceal the area and then just blend a little right along the shadow of the bag so it's like you are creating an illusion of a smoother surface.

You don't need concealer. Consider yourself lucky and don't start talking yourself into buying products you don't need just because other people need/use them.
