I'm finishing up packing my gear and heading up to Lake Placid tomorrow! I went up and checked in yesterday, but I live close enough that it didn't make sense to shell out lots of money for several nights in a hotel, so I went back home after.
Keep an eye on us (me and trigal) Sunday! www.ironman.com -> Track an athlete. I'm #584.
I really don't know how it will go. I know I can do the distance without a problem, but I'm very slow on the bike on hills. My biggest worry is not making the second bike cutoff, so keep your fingers crossed and send good tailwind vibes!
There was a nice tailwind yesterday going up the cherries and the bears! Of course, that means there was a tailwind from Keene to Ausable!
I'll be wearing my tri club jersey on the bike. What about you?
Good! I'll need it.
I have a pink and black bike jersey (didn't get a tri club one yet), white helmet, and a black and gray quintana roo. I'll keep my eye out for you! If I don't catch you in town beforehand, good luck!!!

Thanks everybody! And kams, ack! Your 70.3 is next week!! That's so exciting!
I'm all packed, and I wrote up a little tentative schedule of when I'll be finishing the loops/legs for my bf and bff who will be spectating. I *think* I'll be okay... maybe.
Swim start ~ 6:40am (If I start at 6:40, I have to finish by 11:40 to be under 17 hours - this is the whole new rolling swim start thing.) Swim ~ 1:24 Swim finish ~ 8:04am T1 ~ 10 min (There's a .25 mile run just to get from the water to the transition area, so this is a tad longer than normal.) Bike start ~ 8:15am Bike loop 1 ~ 4:15 (pretty sure this is accurate) Start bike loop 2 ~ 12:30pm (cutoff = 1:30pm) Bike loop 2 ~ 4:30 ( This is where it gets hairy) Bike finish ~ 5:00pm (cutoff = 5:30pm) T2 ~ 5 min Run Start ~ 5:05pm Run loop 1 ~ 2:50 Start run loop 2 ~ 7:55pm (cutoff = 9:00pm) Run loop 2 ~ 3:05 FINISH ~ 11:00pm
So it looks do-able. The only big question mark is that damn bike loop 2.

Good luck to you too! We'll probably see each other on the out and back. Be ready for cool weather!
