Pill/Ovarian Cysts?

I'm going to pull an ovary out here...

Stupid question, but is it possible to get an ovarian cyst while on the pill? I was playing Google Doctor and saw one of the things they prescribe for cysts is the pill. Every now and then I get pains, and it's starting to suck. There's nothing I can do to help the pain, is there...

Could be endometriosis maybe. Though the pill is supposed to help that as well. I just take Advil when it's bad, which is usually the first day of my period and also a bit during ovulation.

Both my best friend and I have had ovarian cysts while on the pill. They suck big time.. she ended up going to the emergency department (she had no idea what was going on, just severe pain) and had lots, and lots of tests run, and was then sent home with an ovarian cyst diagnosis, orders to follow up with her doctor that week, and about three days' worth of tylenol 3.

With mine, I was lucky enough to have some leftover pain medications from a nasty car wreck, and that got me through the worst of it. For me, a hot bath or using a heating pad on my abdomen helps some too.

Yes, I got cysts while on the pill. And went to the doc. a few times...just tylenol or ibuprofen and the good old heating pad.

I got one on the pill too, found out what it was when I went to the emergency room and got rushed into surgery!
